Facebook Page Launched.

I was working for a long time on other graphic design stuff to feed myself. I was not getting time to do a big painting nor a theme coming into my head. Meanwhile, I was pretty successful to launch my facebook page

It was a collection of my rough sketches, watercolor experiments and digital drawings. I hope I can do both justice to both my blog and facebook page. I will get a great support from my father to keep the blog alive. Cheers.

I was doing this painting for quiet a while.. it took some extra time. Acrylic on Canvas. The thought process for this painting was started long back. It came on paper then and finally I projected it to the canvas.

Lord Krishna

Lord Krishna is always my inspiration. He is a friend, guide, mentor. This creation is in Oil.. and took around 2 months to finish.

The Lord

My recent visit to Varanasi inspired me to work on Lord Krishna, who has been my inspiration during my tough times of life. I read Bhagwadgita, when I was 14. Every time I read, I get a new perspective about life and myself.

Concern for Environment

Illustration says it all, we are growing rapidly in all avenues. But it seems we are not bothered at what cost. We fail to protect our environment, hence the result is global warming, frequent weather changes etc.

First Take

I came across a wonderful painting software, Corel Painter. I am amazed and inspired by the work of Tod Harris and his approach for painter. I found the software quite user friendly for artist. It has amazing brush collection and a wonderful palette to mix colors. I haven't done anything realistic, but this is my take on corel.

Recent Artwork for a book cover. 'Nirmala' a famous novel from Munshi Premchand. It was not my first experiment with knife painting in poster color... but it has come good after few initial sketches.

These are some book covers, done in poster color. Few are on pipeline.. but finished these drawings, about these inspiring leaders. I find it quite easy to work in poster color since I am working in this medium for quite a long time. This is also my father's favorite medium.

Children's Book Illustration

Recently I was commissioned to work on a children's magazine. I kept my drawing simple, it was about shortage of water in India.. especially north India. These colors may change after an initial discussion, which is due sometimes next week. But I personally don't like to re-work on my colors.

After a long time I am posting something, since I was involved in some project which was more technical than artistic.. so in the meantime I took some time to watch cricket and other sports. When I did these sketches in the wacom tablet, I realized these can be drawn quite quickly. So here are few of them.
